Omer Practice Deck: Wholeness: Willow Tree #16

This set of Omer Cards, created by artist D'vorah Horn, is meant to be used for viewing/study/inspiration and as a guide for an intentional practice during the counting of the Omer. A well loved Omer practice deck, this 15th deck is as special and meaningful as the others, with a new twist: putting all the cards together will bring up a beautiful painting of a willow tree. 

From D'vorah: 

"In 2025, I approached the Omer practice I had engaged in since 2009 in much the same way as in the past. I let the materials inspire me first as I prepared to go on this 49-day introspective and creative Journey. This year, I cut and tore 49 small pieces of watercolor paper and glued them to tiny canvases. I wanted this piece to somehow come together into a whole in a different way than in the past, to form the image of a Willow Tree. So, after staining and preparing the surfaces with ink, I mounted them on the wall close together and began to paint one painting. Each day and for a long time after the Omer ended, I returned to paint on the individual day and then blended the individual image back into the whole. The painting became a whole of many parts, the pieces significant in themselves, but joining together as one. For me this reflects what we need to know as humans and as co- inhabitants of the earth: we are part of everything while still individual. And for me the Willow Tree, which speaks to so many of us personally, universally brings us the medicine of fortitude, endurance, resilience, adaptability while sheltering us with inner wisdom. This was my sixteenth year painting on the Omer, and I am so pleased to share it with you in an Omer deck as a guide for your own practice.
